Race 1 Worcester 13:20 Novices/Maiden Chase (Class 3) 23f

1322 Found On
Dual hurdles winner who landed 3 handicap chases on the bounce earlier this year, most recently a 4-runner affair at Uttoxeter (3m, good) in May. May well benefit from an uncontested lead here and, if so, she will prove hard to peg back.
11-5Sean BowenMartin Keighleylocked1.75/10.67/162
2193 Arrivederci
Pretty useful hurdler who was placed twice in competitive Ascot handicaps during 2020/21 campaign. Below both starts earlier this year following an 11-month absence, though, and wellbeing to prove now sent chasing on the back of another break.
11-2Jonjo O'Neill JrJonjo O'Neilllocked2.25/15.5/1144
1261 Twig
Multiple winning pointer who landed hunter chases at Exeter and over this C&D during the spring. More on his plate now switched to novice company, but he could have more to offer for new yard given his relatively low mileage.
11-12Luca MorganBen Paulinglocked2.5/12.25/110

Race 2 Worcester 13:55 Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f

371 Anightinlambourn
Fair hurdler/chaser who showed big improvement when winning over C&D 5 weeks ago. That form looks solid and can defy a 7 lb rise.
12-1Kielan WoodsBen Paulinglocked1.5/10.91/139
222 Blue Sans
Point/bumper winner who, fitted with first-time cheekpieces, doubled her tally over hurdles in a handicap here 12 months ago. Disappointed next 2 starts and failed to complete on chase bow at Sedgefield 3 weeks ago (unseated at tenth). Headgear back on.
11-12Connor BraceFergal O'Brienlocked2.25/15.5/1144
375 Princess Midnight
Better than ever this summer under a change of tactics, making all over C&D in June/July. Might have done too much too soon when bidding for a C&D hat-trick 5 weeks ago (behind Anightinlambourn) so remains of interest.
10-12Brendan PowellJoe Tizzardlocked4/13.33/117
1064 Becky The Boo
Bumper winner last year but has essentially failed to come up to expectations over hurdles. Now tries her luck chasing.
11-1Mr Tom BroughtonFergal O'Brienlocked8.5/19/16
363 Howdilyoudo
Hurdles/chase winner who looked set to go close when crashing through last (usual 2 out) in Uttoxeter handicap hurdle (19.9f, good) but disappointed at Fontwell next time. Back over fences now (went backwards from her fortunate chasing debut win at Uttoxeter in June).

Race 3 Worcester 14:30 Handicap Chase (Class 4) 16f

111 Elios D'Or
Winner at Ludlow in May and runner-up 4 times over C&D since, including last 2 starts. No reason why he won't give another very good account of himself.
12-0Harry KimberRobert Walfordlocked1.63/11.88/115
2863 Keepyourdreamsbig
Fair juvenile hurdler for Olly Murphy in the first half of last season. Unexposed 4-y-o who is bred to make a chaser. Interesting to see how he goes in the betting.
11-2Sam Twiston-DaviesNigel locked2.25/12/111
202 Maninsane
Market Rasen maiden hurdle winner last autumn. Struggled in handicaps in that sphere subsequently but he made a sound start over fences when third of 4 at Stratford (17f) 3 weeks ago. Claims if building on that.
11-9Lilly PinchinCharlie Longsdonlocked4/13.5/113
634 Koi Dodville
Showed aptitude for chasing when runner-up on his first 2 starts in July (including C&D). Below par when third at Uttoxeter last time but claims if bouncing back to form after wind surgery.
11-2Fergus GillardDavid Pipelocked5/14.5/110
205 Lonimoss Bareliere
Seemed to be finding some consistency when runner-up on his first 2 starts of the campaign, but well held the last twice, including on yard debut 3 weeks ago. Sets out over fences with a bit to prove.
10-8Charlie HammondRob Summerslocked25/150/1100

Race 4 Worcester 15:05 Novices/Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f

1943 Everyonesgame
Runner-up sole start in Irish points and went one better in a Doncaster bumper on Rules debut in January. Fared best of the pacesetters in a strongly-run affair at Warwick 9 weeks later and rates an interesting hurdling debutant.
11-4Brian HughesCharlie Longsdonlocked1.88/11.5/120
14210 Spanish Present
Showed fairly useful form in bumpers. including when ninth in Champion Bumper at Cheltenham, but proved a let-down on Kelso hurdling debut back in May, folding tamely late on having made most. Should be capable of better back from a break.
11-4Sean BowenMartin Keighleylocked2.25/11.62/128
237 Ironhill
Opened his account in bumpers on first start for this yard (left Amy Murphy after just 1 run) in 7-runner event at this course (16f, good) 23 days ago, getting first run. That was a weak race though, so more will needed now switching to hurdles.
11-4Jay TidballAlastair Ralphlocked5/19/180
319 Seaforth Mancy
Fair hurdler/bumper performer in Ireland but has run below that level both starts for his new yard this summer. Needs to up his game.
11-4Sam Twiston-DaviesDr Richard Newlandlocked8/19/113
166 Indianapolis
Fair handicapper nowadays on Flat, stays 16.5f, again below form at Carlisle 16 days ago. Cheekpieces retained for hurdles debut.
11-4Charlie ToddIan Williamslocked9/118/1100
04 Higher Ground
£28,000 3-y-o, Black Sam Bellamy gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Monbeg Legend and fair chaser Absolute Jaffa. Wears hood.
11-4Jordan NailorNigel locked12/112/10
2108 Just Loose Change
Hinted at ability in a bumper/brace of novice hurdles last season but looks one more for handicaps after this.
11-4James BowenNicky Martinlocked20/125/125
321 Beannaigh Do
Made frame sole start in Irish points but well held in bumper/maiden hurdle under Rules.
11-4Sean HoulihanSheila Lewislocked200/1250/125
312 Cherokees Prayer
Runner-up on his sole start in points in April but went with no promise when pulled up on last month's hurdling debut.
11-4Mr Huw EdwardsSimon Edwardslocked200/1150/125
115 Hold Your Fort
Winning pointer at seventh attempt in May but could hardly have shown any less sent hurdling here (2m) 11 days ago. Up in trip.
11-4Mr Geoff Tracey locked200/1250/125
There are 10 runners in this race.

Race 5 Worcester 15:40 Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) 20f

303 Presentandcounting
Prolific over fences last season, winning 5 times in novice company and aside from when turned over upped to 23f, he's been far too good for his rivals in novice hurdles of late. Assessor has taken big chance with his mark.
11-9Brian HughesDonald McCainlocked4/12.75/131
572 Give Me A Moment
Useful chaser who won 5 times last season and outclassed the opposition in a brace of novice hurdles this summer. Jury out whether he will match form over fences but he's clearly open to improvement.
11-9Harry BannisterRichard J Bandeylocked6.5/15.5/115
816 Oceanline
Useful winner at 14f on the level for Alan King and made perfect start for new connections when a smooth winner of 8-runner C&D novice in July. Likely has more to offer in this sphere.
10-13Tom ScudamoreDavid Pipelocked6.5/18/123
348 Pop The Champagne
Bumper winner who was expertly placed to land 4 novice hurdles this summer around 2m. Opening mark looks perfectly fair assuming she sees out this new trip.
10-9Kielan WoodsFergal O'Brienlocked7/17/10
371 Light N Strike
Useful chaser who didn't need to get anywhere near that level to land the odds in a novice hurdle at Worcester last month. Back up trip and this asks a different question but he is lower in the weights over hurdles.
12-0Tom BellamyEmma Lavellelocked7/15/129
604 San Giovanni
Unlucky when carried out at Newton Abbot in April and has made amends in maiden/novice company this summer. Bare form nothing to get carried away with so needs to improve from current mark.
11-2Kevin BroganHarry Frylocked7/16.5/17
727 Lunar Shadow
Fair Flat winner who made a successful start over hurdles in 2m Southwell maiden in May and might have followed up had she not fallen at the last at Stratford. Quickly gained compensation at Uttoxeter (2m) but isn't crying out for this trip.
10-10Tom CannonAlan Kinglocked12/140/1233
6310 Biowavego
Main rival failed to fire when opening account in 7-runner maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter. In good hands and not yet exposed but opening mark does demand more.
10-8Jonjo O'Neill JrJonjo O'Neilllocked12/110/117
815 Doncesar De Pretot
Won novice hurdle here over 23f in May and nothing wrong with a brace of placed efforts in handicaps since, latterly over fences at Worcester. Current mark doesn't appear to be over generous.
11-1Sam Twiston-DaviesNeil Mulhollandlocked14/118/129
5712 Ike Sport
Runner-up in a French claiming hurdle and better form when giving Give Me A Moment something to think about in a Stratford novice (18.7f) in July. Open to progress in handicaps.
10-5Harry ReedNeil Mulhollandlocked22/128/127
379 First Soldier
Fair maiden hurdler but fared about as well as could be expected after a long absence when third of 6 over 2m here in August. That wasn't a deep race and he isn't obviously well treated.
10-8Cillin LeonardDr Richard Newlandlocked28/133/118
9313 Alioski
Gained reward for consistency in maiden company over 2m here in June. Fair efforts on the level since but he's pitched in quite deep from out of the weights in a handicap.
10-2Richie McLernonGary Brownlocked28/140/143
There are 12 runners in this race.

Race 6 Worcester 16:15 Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 20f

314 Sure Touch
Enjoying a good summer, landing the odds in taking style to bring up the hat-trick in a 3-runner novice at Fontwell a month ago. More to come and a mark of 120 may underestimate him.
11-1Sean BowenOlly Murphylocked1.75/11.62/17
305 Finisk River
Hasn't been out of the first two in four starts since cheekpieces were fitted and showed a good attitude to score again at Sedgefield a month ago. Should give another good account.
10-12Brian HughesDonald McCainlocked2/11.88/16
1846 Fontana Ellissi
Took advantage of a reduced mark to win at Ffos Las in February and was unlucky not to go close at Taunton next time. Bit disappointing on final two outings but worthy of respect back from 6 months off.
10-10Jack TudorSamuel Drinkwaterlocked4.5/16/133
1462 Lord Accord
Fairly useful hurdler who better that form when scoring twice over fences. Not disgraced at Uttoxeter when last seen and fixed-brush obstacles will help returning to this discipline after 146 days off.
12-0Sam Twiston-DaviesNeil Mulhollandlocked6.5/17.5/115
1461 Back On The Lash
Relished the step up in trip when making a winning start to cross-country career at Cheltenham in November. Disappointed since and this is likely a pipe-opener back from almost 5 months off.
12-0Harry SkeltonMartin Keighleylocked14/110/129
There are 5 runners in this race.

Race 7 Worcester 16:50 Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f

167 Gingembre Menthe
Still winless following 15 appearances, in this sphere and over fences, but he wasn't disgraced when fourth on British hurdles debut in a 2½m Uttoxeter maiden recently. This drop back in trip looks a good move and now tried blinkers.
11-8Ben BromleyMrs Jane Williamslocked3/18/1167
593 Halifax
Remains a maiden following 8 attempts over hurdles and has failed to make an impact in handicaps at Uttoxeter and over this C&D the last twice. However, he did go close here off a 3 lb higher mark in April, so it's not all negative.
11-10Kevin BroganJonjo O'Neilllocked4/12.5/138
245 Herecomeshogan
Off the mark in this sphere in a Newton Abbot maiden (18.5f, good to firm) last month, rallying well to get back in front having been headed at the second-last. However, revised mark demands improvement back in handicap company.
11-9Finn LambertMartin Keighleylocked6.5/19/138
2716 Princess T
In fine form on the Flat in Jersey this summer, winning four times on the bounce between June and August. Respectable third in 15.2f Wincanton handicap when last seen in this sphere on Boxing Day, and she's one to consider.
11-8Thomas DoggrellNeil Mulhollandlocked7/18/114
394 Rafiki
Fairly useful on Flat and made a winning hurdles debut at Stratford (16.3f, good) in June. Beaten a fair way on handicap bow in this sphere at Bangor last time, though, and he remains on a stiff-looking mark.
11-10Bryan CarverAlan Kinglocked8/15.5/131
188 Galah
Juvenile maiden hurdle winner who showed benefit of reappearance run when 7 lengths second of 4 in a mares' handicap at Newton Abbot (16.8f, good to soft) 18 days ago. Still, improvement will be needed if she's to emerge on top here.
11-3Bradley HarrisMilton Harrislocked10/110/10
312 Courtandbould
Out of sorts under both codes for some time and while he has plummeted down the weights as a result, there were very few positives to glean from last month's debut for this yard at Bangor.
11-11Tristan DurrellDan Skeltonlocked11/15.5/150
1891 Olympic Conqueror
Fairly useful 1½m Flat winner who has scored twice in this sphere, most recently a 5-runner Uttoxeter novice in June 2021. However, he looked rusty on handicap debut at Fakenham back from 8 months off in March and not seen out since.
12-1Luke ScottDr Richard Newlandlocked12/116/133
619 Free Chakarte
Fair on Flat (stays 1¼m) in France for Christophe Ferland, winner of 2 claimers in April and justified strong support on hurdles debut at Hexham in June. Hasn't gone on as hoped since, but by no means written off now pitched into a handicap on the back of a wind op.
10-5Philip ArmsonDavid Pipelocked14/110/129
There are 9 runners in this race.
